Our Story
Our humble beginnings began in West Texas.
“Gran'dad” D. A. Jones started the business by hauling sand out of the river bed of the Colorado in the 1930's (His great grandfather, Timothy Jones and his great uncle Allen B. Jones, a hero of the Battle of San Jacinto, came to Texas in 1835 as part of Stephen F. Austin's colonization of Texas plan by way of the 1823 Imperial Colonization Law of Mexico).
Using an old modified Fresno Dredge, pulled by a couple of not so cooperative mules named Ike & Jake, he and his sons would take the sand that had been pulled out of the river and then hand load it by shovel into a dump truck. Then, they would deliver it to a home or business.
Though Gran'dad isn’t with us any longer, he passed his knowledge and experience down to his sons, grandsons, and great grandsons to carry on the business.
From those old mules and dump trucks we have built a company that stands strong and reputable.
Our office is located in Bedford, Texas. It is family owned and operated by hard working 6th & 7th generation Texans ready to serve the Fort Worth, Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Arlington, Irving, & Dallas Areas.
